In 1992, the Fountis family named the first wine released as the Fountis Estate "Naousaia", after 60 years of regional winemaking, enough to give it the necessary experience to get to know, love and dedicate itself with absolute devotion to the Xinomavro variety. Without deviating from its goals, which are to highlight the inherent characteristics of the Xinomavro variety, always highlighting its multidimensional typicality, the Fountis family has devotedly served the values it set, to see today its wines, with the flagship "Naousaia", traveling to the ends of the earth.

The figure of "Naousaia" with the bridal and festive costume of Naousa, a watercolor by Nicolas Sperling from the Benaki Museum album "Greek National Costumes", has over the years won the hearts of people who love what we call "good wine" and we mean wine that reflects the place where it comes from and its creator.

"Naousaia" is a wine that reflects the typical Xinomavro of Naousa. The grapes for its production have been carefully selected from the privately owned vineyard of the Fountis family in Strandza and after remaining in oak barrels for 18 months and an additional 18 months in the bottle, it is now available for purchase.

In 2022, the Fountis Estate completes its 30 years of operation, and at the same time its 30 years of contribution to the Greek winemaking process, giving "Naousaia" an additional value.

We have set aside 2,000 bottles as "anniversary" for the friends of the Estate and Xinomavros and for the public who appreciate an excellent wine and would like to enjoy it today or choose to keep it in their cellar, so as to taste it several years later.

Behind the anniversary seal that adorns these bottles lies the personal care of the Fountis family, both in the selection of grapes and in the winemaking.
